The Draft of General Budget law for the Fiscal Year 2016:
  1. JD 7589 Million Public Revenues
  2. JD 8496 Million Public Expenditure
  3. JD 907 Million Budget Deficit
The Draft of Government Units Budgets law for the Fiscal Year 2016:
  1. JD 1529 Million in Revenues
  2. JD 1905 Million in Expenditure
  3. JD 376 Million Net Deficit before financing

The Ministers Council in its session held on Sunday November 8th, 2015 approved The Draft of General Budget law and The Draft of Government Units Budgets law for the year 2016.

Noting that, the total amount of the public expenditures summed up to JD (8496) Million in The Draft of General Budget law for the year 2016, whereby JD (7185) Million were allocated to current expenditures and JD (1311) Million were allocated for capital expenditures.

Whereas Public Revenues summed up to JD (7589) Million divided as follows; JD (6775) Million local revenues and JD (814) Million of foreign grants.

Accordingly, the General Budget deficit for the year 2016 will be JD (907) Million, which equals (3.1%) of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

As for the Draft of Government Units Budgets law for the fiscal year 2016, total revenues are estimated to reach JD (1529) Million, while expenditures are estimated to reach JD (1905) Million, with a total net deficit reaching up to JD (379) Million.

It is worth noting that the abovementioned Draft Laws have been sent to the Parliament in order to approve on them following the proper constitutional stages.
