The General Budget Department (GBD) issued Budget Circular No. (13) of 2014 for the preparation of the General Budget draft law and the Government Units Budgets draft law, in addition to the manpower tables of the ministries and government departments/ units for fiscal year 2015.

In accordance with the aforementioned circular, all ministries and government departments/ units should prepare their budgets for the years (2015-2017) separately according to the specified ceilings, and provide the GBD with them by October 20, 2014.

Ministries and government departments/ units must take into consideration the limited resources available and the government’s policy to control and rationalize public expenditure and enhance its efficiency and effectiveness when they prepare their budgets. Moreover, these budgets should be based on annual operational plans stemming from each of the ministries and government departments/ units’ strategies.
