Cabinet endorses

In its session held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, the Cabinet approved the Draft Law of Government Units’ Budgets for 2011. The draft law translates governmental directions in terms of expenditures control and ration.  Total expenditures of the 62 government units decreased 2,90 million dinars from its estimated level in 2010 to reach 1,696 million dinars, or 8.1% of estimated GDP for 2011.  The total is divided between 8,96 million dinars for current expenditures and 800 million dinars for capital expenditures.

Total revenues of government units for 2011 are estimated at 1,288 million dinars. Government subsidy forms about 2,75 million dinars, and foreign grants are 88 million dinars. However, total self-revenues amount to 9,45 million dinars.

Net deficit before financing of all government units is estimated at 4,07 million dinars in 2011 compared to a deficit of 4,86 million dinars in 2010.  The decrease amounted to 81 million dinars, or 16.7%.
