Within the framework of the General Budget Department’s participation in King Abdullah II Award for Government Excellence and Transparency, the Department conducted a“KAA Criteria Assessment” Workshop on October 20-22, 2011, in cooperation with USAID- funded Fiscal Reform Project II (FRP II) , to strengthen excellence concept at the Department , promote GBD performance, and deliver services effectively and efficiently.

The workshop highlighted key KAA issues, particularly RADAR process and methodology, developing KAA application, and bases of work approaches.

At the closing session, HE Dr. Ismail Zaghloul, Director of the General Budget Department, emphasized that such a workshop is a clear indication of the Department’s interest in KAA, and its quest to achieve a better score. His Excellency also stressed the need to transfer knowledge acquired during the workshop to the rest of the Department’s staff.
