Jordan obtained a score 63/100 in the budget transparency standard within The Open Budget Index Survey (OBI) for 2017, which carried out by the International Budget Partnership (IBP) in Washington. Jordan progressed 8 points compared with the result of the previous survey which conducted by IBP in 2015 with score 55/100, where it ranked first in the MENA, and it was ranked 24 out of 115 participating countries in survey 2017, where the survey conducts once every two years.
This progress made due to the developments and improvements that undertaken during the last two years on measures of the general budget preparation, details and quality of data and information contained in the budget documents and related issued reports.
