In cooperation with the USAID Fiscal Reform Project, General Budget Department (GBD) held a workshop on Thursday January 7, 2016 to discuss the Monitoring, Review and Evaluation system framework as part of the Department’s pursuit to deepen the concept of Results Oriented Budgeting and implement it throughout the ministries and government departments in order to achieve the best results with the available resources.
His Excellency Dr. Mohammad AL-Hazaimeh, Director General of the General Budget Department, emphasized on the importance of implementing Results Oriented Budgeting (ROB), which combines between Strategic and financial planning, and links allocations with performance results. His Excellency also added that the need for a monitoring and evaluation system that is simple, easy to use and contains the analytical tools to measure and review all ministries and government departments’ performance is of importance.
