A Royal decree was issued endorsing the Manpower Bylaw for Ministries, Departments, and Government Units No.(41) for the fiscal year 2014.

The Bylaw includes 2,551 new jobs for this year. It also transfers 2,843 contract employees to the civil service system, representing the second batch of personnel not listed in the manpower tables to be transferred to the civil service system, pursuant to a Cabinet decision to change the employment status of contract employees to civil service employees within three years.

In addition, the General Budget Department issued a circular to ministries, departments and government units on the interdepartmental transfer of employees and their allocations and levels in the civil service system as from December 31, 2014.
