General Budget Draft Law for Fiscal Year 2015:

Government Units Budgets Draft Law for Fiscal Year 2016:
  • JD 813.7 million in Revenues
  • JD 1811.7 million in Expenditure
  • JD 998 million Net Deficit before financing

The Council of Ministers in its session held on Wednesday October 29, 2014 approved the General Budget Draft Law and the Government Units Budgets Draft Law for fiscal year 2015.

Noting that, the total amount of the public expenditures summed up to JD 8096.4 million in the General Budget Draft Law for the year 2015, whereby JD 6921.5 million were allocated to current expenditures and JD 1174.9 million were allocated for capital expenditures.

Whereas Public Revenues summed up to JD 7408 million divided as follows; JD 6280 million domestic revenues and JD 1128 million of foreign grants.

Accordingly, the General Budget deficit for the year 2015 was JD 688.4 million, which equals (2.5%) of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

As for the Government Units Budgets Draft Law for the fiscal year 2015, total revenues were estimated to reach JD 813.7 million, while expenditures were estimated to reach JD 1811.7 million, with a total net deficit  before financing reaching up to JD 998 million.

It is worth noting that the abovementioned Draft Laws will be sent to the Parliament in order to approve them following the proper constitutional stages.
